I know you have a Bajaj Chetak electric scooter and want to connect your phone to it.
When you connect your phone with your Bajaj Chetak Electric, it will increase your riding experience. With this connectivity, you will get important information, navigation, and control options.
To make things easy for you, I will tell you in steps below based on my practical experience. I too have connected my phone with my Bajaj Chetak Electric vehicle.
Initially, I tried connecting on my friend’s Bajaj Chetak electric scooter but could not succeed in connecting to my mobile phone. I later succeeded on my scooter.
I am writing some steps below for your understanding.
Install & Login Bajaj Chetak App
Before you start, ensure that your phone carries Bluetooth connectivity. It has to be compatible with the onboard system of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter.
For this, you can check the user manual. You will get the compatibility.
Next, download and install the MyChetak app on your phone(Android or iOS). Create a login using your mobile number. You’ll receive a code (called OTP) to verify your login.
After logging in, open the Bajaj Chetak app. Tap on the “Add scooter” icon within the app. That’s it!
Remember, you need to follow these steps on the app to connect your phone to the scooter.
Turn on the Bajaj Chetak Electric
Turn on the Bajaj Chetak Electric scooter. Make sure that the display of your electric scooter is powered on so that it is ready for pairing.
Bluetooth Pairing with Chetak
I followed this process as a first-timer to connect my phone.
- Go to your phone’s settings and find the Bluetooth option. Turn it on so your phone can search for nearby devices.
- Open the MyChetak app on your phone to connect it to the Chetak Electric scooter via Bluetooth.
- On the scooter’s display, find the Bluetooth settings in the settings menu (it looks like a gear or wrench icon).
- Inside the Bluetooth settings on the scooter’s display, enable Bluetooth pairing mode. This allows your phone to detect the scooter’s Bluetooth signal.
- Back on your phone, in the Bluetooth settings, tap to search for available devices. You’ll see the Bajaj Chetak Electric scooter in the list.
- Select the Bajaj Chetak Electric scooter on your phone. Confirm the pairing request on both your phone and the scooter’s display.
Now your phone is safely connected to the scooter via Bluetooth!
Scan the QR code via the app
When you need to put in the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) details on the MyChetak app, you can do it in two ways: by scanning a QR code or typing it in.
- Scan the QR Code: Open the MyChetak app on your phone. Look for the button that lets you scan QR codes. Hold your phone steady and point the camera at the QR code until it scans. This will automatically add the VIN details to the app.
- Type it Manually: If you don’t have a QR code or prefer to type it yourself, choose the option to type in the VIN. You’ll find this option near the QR code scanner. Just type the number carefully and make sure it’s correct before saving it in the app.
By doing either of these, you’ll easily get the VIN details into the MyChetak app.
Test Connectivity & Adjust Settings
Make sure your Bluetooth connection is working right. You can check this by trying out different things.
For example, on my Chetak Electric scooter, I tested receiving notifications on the display, controlling music or videos, and using navigation.
If you need to, you can change some Bluetooth settings to fit what you like.
Disconnecting your Phone
When you’re done riding or don’t want to use your phone with the Bajaj Chetak Electric anymore, you can disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
To do this, go to the Bluetooth settings on both your phone and the scooter’s display. Just select the option to disconnect or forget the device.

Connecting your phone to the Bajaj Chetak Electric scooter using Bluetooth makes riding more fun.
You can get notifications, control music, and use navigation easily.
