It’s selling starting at around $14,500 after government subsidies and comes with a 49 kWh battery pack rated at up to 315 km of range for the Korean market and 355km in Europe.

The Casper EV embodies Hyundai’s commitment to electric mobility, which is stylish and approachable for a wide range of customers.

Indian Launch Plans

The Korean giant, however, intends to introduce this new Casper EV in India by the mid-end of the year 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Meanwhile, capitalizing on the traction that affordable EVs have started gaining.

The firm plans on manufacturing the Casper locally at its Chennai plant, some insights also suggest that this would mean cost-cutting and thus open doors to make the car more affordable to the Indian consumer.

Hyundai’s plan extends to tailor the vehicle for a better fit with Indian roads and driving, having been modified to match local requirements. The Casper EV is slated to be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo, and it will be a darling in India’s electric vehicle sector, the perfect mix of being bag-friendly and practical.

Design and Features

The Hyundai Casper EV fuses advanced technology with a sleek and compact design, ideally suited for urban environments.

Pitched as the affordable version for the youth of the urban age, it lines up against rivals, including the Tata Punch EV and Citroen e-C3, at similar prices but with a trendier look and better tech.

Hyundai plans to strengthen its eco-friendly car line-up in India to keep pace with the country’s transition to sustainable modes of urban mobility, thereby achieving progress without compromise.

The Hyundai Casper EV aims to shake up the Indian electric vehicle space with a healthy mix of affordability, contemporary design, and utility.

With sharp pricing on the cards and more than decent specifications to boast, this will be a rather smart entry-level into EVs for people in India. While Hyundai intensifies its EV strategy, the Casper EV might as well be the urban Indian’s abode.
