AMO Electric Scooter Battery Prices

I still remember sitting with my friend Sanjay over masala chai, as he sighed and said, “My AMO scooter’s battery is dead—got to replace it now.”

He’s been riding his AMO Jaunty for nearly three years, commuting daily and using it for small road trips. When he got the battery replacement quotes, I pestered him for every detail: “How much for the battery? What about labor? Warranty? Third-party options?” He patiently walked me through everything.

In this post, I’ll share what I learned about AMO electric scooter battery prices—so you won’t get blindsided when your own battery fails.

You’ll see a direct price estimate, variant-wise costs, warranty insights, and full replacement cost breakdown (OEM vs aftermarket) explained conversationally.

What is the battery price for AMO?

To answer it plainly: across AMO’s scooter range, a new OEM battery pack costs roughly ₹45,000 to ₹1,10,000 (India, 2025).

That reflects all variants, from lighter ones up to higher-capacity models. In Sanjay’s city, the service center quoted ~₹60,000 for his Jaunty’s battery pack.

In more remote towns, dealers quoted up to ~₹90,000 or ₹1,00,000 for the same pack, because of shipping, scarcity, and margin.

Meanwhile, refurbishers or used module sellers offered options in the ~₹35,000 to ~₹70,000 range—but those come with risk (lower capacity, shorter life).

So for a featured snippet answer: AMO electric scooter battery prices range approximately ₹45,000 to ₹1,10,000 for a new OEM pack across models.

Battery Prices for All Variants

AMO has a few models—Jaunty, Inspirer, and Feisty—each with differing battery sizes and features.

Below are what I found in Sanjay’s research and through market checks.

1. AMO Jaunty

The Jaunty is one of AMO’s more common models. It is often paired with a 1.62 kWh to 1.92 kWh lithium battery (depending on variant). Dealers in larger cities quoted ~₹55,000 to ₹70,000 for a new OEM battery.

In small towns, the same pack was quoted ~₹75,000 to ₹85,000 due to dealer margin and shipping.

Refurbished or used options often surfaced in ~₹35,000 to ₹55,000 range, though sellers warned of reduced range and possible early failure.

2. AMO Inspirer

Inspirer is marketed as a longer-range model with a larger 2.16 kWh battery in some spec pages. In those cases, the battery pack cost is higher.

Dealers in metro areas quoted ~₹80,000 to ₹1,10,000. In less accessible regions, the quotes could climb to ~₹1,20,000.

Refurbished pack sellers sometimes offered ~₹50,000 to ₹90,000—though capacity and reliability vary dramatically.

3. AMO Feisty

Feisty is sort of intermediate between Jaunty and Inspirer. It has a battery spec in public listings around 1.92 kWh. Dealers in urban zones quoted ~₹60,000 to ₹85,000.

In more remote territories, quotes edged toward ~₹90,000. Refurbishers or module sellers proposed ~₹45,000 to ₹70,000 options, but with disclaimers about warranty, degradation, and matching cell voltages.

Here’s a table summarizing battery cost estimates by variant:

AMO Model / VariantApprox Battery Cost (OEM New)Approx Aftermarket / RefurbishedNotes / Factors
AMO Jaunty₹55,000 – ₹85,000₹35,000 – ₹55,000Battery size, supply logistics
AMO Inspirer₹80,000 – ₹1,10,000₹50,000 – ₹90,000Larger pack, more modules
AMO Feisty₹60,000 – ₹85,000₹45,000 – ₹70,000Mid-sized battery, moderate cost

Battery Warranty of AMO Electric Scooter

Warranty often determines how comfortable you feel when replacing a battery. AMO publishes limited battery warranty terms, and user experiences add nuance.

According to spec pages and dealer info, AMO typically provides a 1-year battery warranty on its scooters like Jaunty. This warranty covers manufacturing defects, module failures, or BMS malfunctions within that year.

However, it usually does not guarantee against gradual degradation (i.e., decline in capacity with use). Public docs don’t clearly state a mileage limit (for example, “valid up to 20,000 km”), so enforcement depends on local dealer policies.

In practice, some users have shared warranty issues. Sanjay himself attempted a warranty claim when one cell in his Jaunty dropped voltage irregularly after 14 months; the service center denied full replacement, citing warranty expiry, but offered a paid module repair.

Another AMO owner with an Inspirer reported ~12 % capacity loss within 2 years; AMO declined coverage, citing “normal aging.” Some owners told me that using unauthorized service shops or tampering with battery components could void the warranty.

So while the written warranty has promise, its real-world enforcement is often narrower than buyers hope.

Battery Replacement Cost for AMO Electric Scooter

The battery pack cost makes up a major part, but total replacement costs include labor, calibration, parts, shipping, and taxes. In Sanjay’s case, here’s how it broke down.

For his Jaunty, the OEM battery was quoted at ₹60,000. Labor, wiring, calibration, disassembly, and testing added ~₹6,000. Handling, shipping, and dealer margin added ~₹4,000.

Miscellaneous parts (connectors, insulation, screws) and taxes bumped the price by ~₹3,000. Altogether, his out-of-the-door cost reached ₹73,000.

In more remote or hilly regions, similar jobs might go up to ~₹90,000 or more, depending on freight or travel surcharges.

Comparing OEM vs third-party: a local refurbisher offered ~₹45,000 for a used pack plus ~₹7,000 labor—but warned that cell balancing, module matching, and long-term durability were uncertain.

The OEM route costs more but gives better calibration, matching, and (if the warranty is still valid) support. The third-party route lowers the upfront cost but carries the risk of shorter life, lower range, or even safety issues due to mismatched modules or BMS failure.

Old wiring, expired warranty, advanced battery tech, and remote locations raise costs, turning a simple battery swap into an expensive replacement..

Final Thoughts

To cut straight to an answer: AMO electric scooter battery prices typically span from ₹45,000 to ₹1,10,000 for a new OEM pack across models.

Total replacement, including labor and ancillary costs, often lands in the ₹60,000 to ₹1,00,000+ range depending on model and location. AMO’s standard warranty (about 1 year) covers defects but often excludes normal degradation.

OEM replacements cost more but bring greater reliability, calibration, and support; third-party or refurbished packs are cheaper but riskier.

If I were in your shoes, I’d budget high, insist on calibration and testing, and get multiple quotes before committing.

Tell me exactly which AMO model and your city, and I’ll refine these numbers further for you.
